Validated against Alberta’s 2025 fire season.
Z1 was run daily across Alberta and compared against the Fire Weather Index benchmark used by government agencies. These are the results of the June to October 2025 MVP evaluation.
A more focused signal, not just a broader net.
During the 2025 Alberta fire season, Z1 forecast 74.5% of observed wildfires while flagging 33% of the province as High Risk. The Fire Weather Index benchmark captured 65% of wildfires while flagging 50% of the landscape. That means Z1 concentrated 1.74x more fires per flagged area — a narrower signal that helps teams prioritize patrols, mitigation, and readiness where they matter most.
Z1 combines weather, vegetation, terrain, drought indicators, satellite signals, and land-cover data to create forward-looking wildfire risk intelligence for defined facilities, regions, corridors, and communities.
